Plot Summary: "Jewel Pet" is a new TV Osaka Sunday morning mahou shoujo anime series aimed at grade school girls. The premise was developed from a line of Sanrio toys. In a magic world a number of small, cute pet-creatures that are reversibly turned into jewels are taught magic and are sent out daily to bring happy dreams. One of the jewel pets, Ruby, would rather play than study and she so misses the daily call to be turned into a jewel. That's fortunate for Ruby because the pelican that is supposed to deliver the satchel of jewel pets runs into a wind storm and loses them all somewhere on Earth.
